Offshore COE Lead – S/4 HANA

The offshore S/4 HANA COE Lead for Packaged Solutions role will be a senior management role, reporting into the Global COE lead and responsible for;

  • delivering the revenue target for S/4 HANA product line
  • managing a team of employees and consultants ensuring that they are fully utilised
  • delivering solutions to time and within budget
  • providing excellent customer service

 Duties and responsibilities

 Inspirational Leadership

  • Be an inspirational leader for everyone in the COE – set the strategic vision of the COE
  • Think globally, including offshore strategy for your COE, and geographic expansion.
  • Ensure careers of those in COE are supported through the DM structure and processes.Oversee performance management of the COE members
  • Be a thought leader in your chosen field.Manage external analyst/ partner relationships.
  • Ensure a sense of team cohesion and belonging to the COE.Instil a knowledge sharing ethos within the team.

Revenue Generation

  • Work with global sales team to position COE propositions to their accounts/ prospects
  • Set a GTM strategy and investment at beginning of the financial year and oversee execution
  • Use own network to generate leads
  • Maintain strong partnerships, globally, (especially SAP – LoB and Product teams) as a route to market
  • Support the sales team with effective pre-sales
  • Support the VAR sales team with effective pre-sales


  • At the beginning of the FY work with the industry sales teams to create a sales and revenue plan
  • At the beginning of the FY create a proposal for investment (marketing, demos, training, asset/ IP creation)
  • At the beginning of the FY create a headcount plan to support revenue, investment and agreed utilisation targets
  • At the beginning of the FY plan out non-billable expense (e.g. travel, given global nature of the COEs)

Investment Management

  • Manage investment within agreed budgets
  • Work with L&D to ensure training plan is delivered
  • Ensure investment achieves desired ROI/ results
  • Ensure assets/ IP development plan is realised

Successful Delivery

  • Ensure all proposals have sound project plans that are competitive and use offshore appropriately
  • Minimise escalations on projects, and when they occur manage them well
  • Deliver projects to each project’s baseline margin
  • Ensure projects are resourced in a timely way with appropriate resources

Headcount and Utilisation

  • Work with recruitment to ensure headcount plan is achieved
  • Adapt to over- or under-performance by use of associates and/ or change headcount plan
  • Manage bencheffectively
  • Ensure utilisationremains above agreed targets
